posted Jan 22, 2018, 12:17 PM by Minnesota Aquafins

Due to the winter weather we are experiencing, all Aquafins practices regularly scheduled for this evening are cancelled.
St. Louis Park district made the decision to cancel after school activities including Community Ed programs.
Especially with so many of our swimmers and coaches driving a long way, we prefer to keep everyone home safe and warm!
Tuesday practices are on as scheduled.

Summer Camp Registration is OPEN! Camp starts this week!

posted Jun 3, 2017, 1:49 PM by Minnesota Aquafins   [ updated Jun 3, 2017, 2:13 PM ]

General Aquafins Summer Camps:

General summer camps focus on conditioning and skill building as well as introduce the sport of synchro to new swimmers. This is also a great opportunity to learn about Aquafins and get a taste of the program before committing to the full season beginning in the fall!

General camp will run Tuesdays and/or Thursday's beginning in early June and running 7 weeks.
Swimmers can register for either or both sessions (1x or 2x per week).

All practices will be held at St. Louis Park High School Pool

6:00-7:30pm = for swimmers entering grades 1-6 & new-to-synchro 7th and 8th graders

7:30-9pm = for swimmers in grades 7-12

*Please note that based on swimmer ability and the make-up of those registering, coaches may recommend switching swimmers from one section to another to better match the needs of individual swimmers.

Skills Level Camp *NEW*

DATES TBD: Tentative last week of June, 1st full week of July

Watch for registration details coming soon!

This camp is for experienced club swimmers who are interested in participation at the JO/National Level in the next several season. Focus will be on level 1 and level 2 skills to begin to prepare swimmers for level test events in the fall. Open to swimmers entering grade 5 and above.  While we do not anticipate that all swimmers will be ready to test out after this camp, it is an opportunity to be introduced to the skills, the testing program, and begin to prepare for test events later in the year. It will also provide a baseline to help swimmers know areas to focus on leading up to potential test events this fall/winter.

*NOTE* - This camp is focused on skills specific to club synchro - swimmers only intending to participate in Aquafins during the off-season to their high school synchro season (no Aquafins March-July) should sign up for the General Aquafins Synchro Camp corresponding to their grade.

Practices will be held at St. Louis Park High School - the pool and gym will be used. One evening of camp will be at Park Spanish Immersion/Central Community Center in the Gymnastics Gym

Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns about camp.
We are looking forward to a fun summer!
