Muhammad Muzzamil Luqman (Ph.D.) is a research scientist in Document Image Analysis, Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision. 

Luqman is currently working on the post of Research Engineer (Permanent) at the L3i Laboratory, La Rochelle University (France) [L3i][LRUniv] since November 2015.

From Septembre 2015 to November 2015, Luqman worked as a Research Engineer (Contract) at the Bordeaux Bioinformatics Center (Centre de Bioinformatique de Bordeaux), France [CBiB].

From September 2012 to August 2015, Luqman was a Postdoctoral researcher with Professor Jean-Marc Ogier, at L3i Laboratory, University of La Rochelle (France) [L3i La Rochelle].

In 2012, Luqman received Ph.D. in Computer Science from François Rabelais University of Tours (France) [Univ Tours] and Autonoma University of Barcelona (Spain) [UAB]. He successfully defended his PhD thesis - titled "Fuzzy Multilevel Graph Embedding for Recognition, Indexing and Retrieval of Graphic Document Images" - with distinction "très honorable (magna cum laude)", on Friday 2nd of March 2012 at François Rabelais University of Tours (France). His Ph.D. thesis supervisors were Professor Jean-Yves Ramel, Dr. Thierry Brouard and Dr. Josep Llados.

In 2008, Luqman received his Masters (Research) in Informatics from Computer Science department of Ecole Polytechnique of François Rabelais University of Tours (France) [Univ Tours].

In 2007, Luqman was awarded a scholarship by the Higher Education Commission [HEC], Government of Pakistan; for pursuing his masters studies and Ph.D. research in France. 

In 2004, Luqman was awarded gold medal and academic roll of honor by Government College University Lahore (Pakistan) [GCU] for achieving distinction in Bachelors of Computer Science (honors).
