We are a group of fiber enthusiasts, that love getting together to talk about our adventures with fiber and improving our skills.
We welcome  everyone to join us, find out when our next meeting will take place and just drop by!  In this website you will find information on how to find us, what we are up to and how to contact us.
  • President's Message
Let's hope that March, which certainly did come in like a Lion, behaves as per the adage and goes
out like a Lamb! Even before changing the clocks to spring forward, start-itis set in for me, I just
wanted to start something new, something bright, something green. It must have been longing for
Spring that prompted me to cast on another Hitchhiker, enough of mittens and hats! Have you
started on warm weather projects yet?

At our February meeting, Sabrina Woodward of Sticks & Strings delivered an educational and fun
presentation on substituting yarns, using knitted models to illustrate the concepts. Now I know why
that vest I subbed alpaca for stretched down toward my knees! Thank you, Sabrina!

We extended the disbursement sale of our MMKG library books for another month, through the
March meeting on the 17th. As of the February meeting there were about a dozen books remaining,
see further in the Newsletter for details. I'm so pleased that our members have adopted nearly all of
the books into their personal libraries.

Our March presentation will be made by several of our members, sharing information and
experiences on "fiber events" in Michigan and out of state, such as Stitches, the Michigan Fiber
    Festival, Spinner’s Flock and more.

I hope to see you then, happy knitting in the meantime.

    See you soon,
    Pam Rasher, President
