Built by Helsingørs Jernskibs og Maskinbyggeri, Helsingør, for Kristiania Kyst Dampskibsselskab (Bertrand Heyerdahl) of Oslo, delivered in July 1895. Shipyard number, 54.

 

646 gross, 371 nett tonnes. Registered length 180.5 feet, overall length 189.5 feet, beam 27.3 feet, depth 12.7/19.7 feet. 153 nom. HP, 800 IHP, Helsingørs Jernskibs og Maskinbyggeri triple expansion engine, 13 knots.

 

Employed on Oslo to Bergen coastal service.

 

Stranded off Ana-Sira on 28 August 1898, declared constructive total loss. Sold in  1899 to Det Stavangerske Dampskibsselskab, rebuilt at Nylands Verksted, Oslo. 653 gross, 353 nett tonnes.

 

Used on Oslo to Bergen kystrute.

 

On 17 February 1926 stranded and sank off Jomfruland; raised, towed to Stavanger, rebuilt (727 gross, 375 nett tonnes) at Stavangerske’s own shipyard, returned to service in April 1927.

 

On Hurtigrute from 20 April 1944 to 19 October 1944, when damaged by magnetic mine in Åramsundet. Laid up in Hjørundfjorden until end of war, then repaired. Chartered by Nordenfjeldske for Hurtigrute service from 1947 to 1948. Otherwise employed on Bergen to Oslo kystrute.

 

Sold in November 1952 to Michael Brecken & Co. of Granton, Scotland, for breaking up.
