Laid up in Bergen on 2 January 1983 following two Hurtigrute sailings as relief for Nordstjernen. Sold in February 1983 to Partrederi Drangsholt, Forsberg, Hoddevik & Kjendal, of Flekkefjord. Renamed Midnatsol Norge in June 1983, converted into hotel ship. Moored variously at Hankø. Kragerø, and Oslo. In July 1985 bought by KHR-Kysten Hotell og Restaurant A/S, of Oslo. On 1 February 1987 heeled over and sank alongside quay while at Sarpsborg M/V for refurbishment and rebuilding. Raised by Taklift 4 on 1 March 1987, and sold in May 1987 for breaking up in Belgium.
