Built by Fredrikstad M/V, Fredrikstad, for Det Bergenske Dampskibsselskab, delivered in June 1937. Shipyard number, 282. Cost, 1,913,000 kroner.

 

1,919 gross, 1,063 nett, 535 deadweight tonnes. Registered length 250.9 feet, overall length 263.5 feet, beam 38.8 feet, depth 13.7/21.0 feet. 313 nom. HP, 2,545 IHP, double-compound FMV ‘steam motor’, 16 knots.

 

Requisitioned from 20 September 1944 for evacuation of Finnmark, returned to Bergenske on 31 May 1945. Refit from November 1945 to February 1946. Converted to oil-firing and fitted with radar at Bergens M/V in late autumn 1947.

 

On Hurtigrute from 1937 to 1954.

 

Stranded and sank in Raftsundet on 22 September 1954.
