Your syllabus: will answer many of your questions! Find it in your binder OR on your class page on this website.

Word Reference: our online dictionary: use to look up single words only. For verbs, look up the infinitive, not a conjugated form. Example: look up "to run", NOT "ran". You may then need to conjugate the verb using the conjugation patterns we have learned. 

French Keyboard: Use this site to type your text with accents, then cut and paste your text to the document you are working on.

French accent keyboard shortcuts for Macs: If you happen to be using a Mac, it pays to memorize a few easy keyboard shortcuts. (Unfortunately, I don't recommend using shortcuts on a Chromebook because you have to install the International Keyboard, which makes apostrophes different, and that can really mess with your scores in Google Forms and Quizzes!)

A Student's Guide to Non-Binary French Language

If you were sick or had an excused absence:

Email me with the following information. This email must be sent NO LATER than the next Monday after the assignment was due, by 8am.

However, if you were absent on a Friday, you may turn it in on Tuesday by 8am. If you were absent multiple days, and the next Monday does not give you the same number of school days as you were absent, you have that amount of days to make it up. For example, if you were absent on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, you get three days to make up the assignment: Thursday, Friday and Monday. So in that case it would be due on Tuesday. 

Keep in mind that spaced repetition (practicing a reasonable amount every day rather than a lot on one day) is important for building proficiency. In addition, we learn skills cumulatively, one skill builds upon another, so it is difficult to progress when you miss the assigned practice. It is important to make up the work as soon as possible to facilitate the progression of your learning. Assessments are frequent, and will not be delayed except in special circumstances, so please make sure you are prepared.
