The "Life Skill Series" takes place during orientation week and is attended by incoming freshmen at MMA. The series provides several workshops designed to prepare students for college and career survival skills. These workshops focus on key skill areas that foster success during the transition to college, during progress through one's college program, and during the transition from college to the workforce.
Typically, six workshops are scheduled for an incoming class. Although the workshops vary from year to year, the following list represents those frequently offered:

We encourage the campus community to suggest a workshop that might be useful for incoming students. To do so, please complete the Workshop Request Form and submit the form using its "Submit by E-Mail" button.
Each year MMA offers an additional series of introductory workshops for entering freshmen. This content of these workshops vaires, but typically includes introductions to the majors and informational sessions about sea term, co-ops, and other features of life in the MMA community.
