I am currently full professor (categorie IV) in Economics at the Ecole des Sciences de la Gestion (ESG), Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM).

I obtained a PhD in Economics from the Toulouse School of Economics, in April 2007, under the supervision of Helmuth Cremer. 

From 2007 till 2011, I was post-doctoral student in Economics at CORE (Université catholique de Louvain)

My research interests are in Public Economics, Political Economics, Health Economics and Economics of Aging.

Since June 2022, I am co-editor at the Canadian Journal of Economics. Since January 2022, I am also an asssociate editor at the Journal of Population Economics. I am also a member of the editorial board of The Geneva Papers on Risk and Insurance -Issues and Practices.
