Institute for Leadership Excellence (MILE) 2015!
Lead Out Loud!
As a participant, you will spend your days in an intimate conference setting with 24 other emerging library leaders from across the state. You will learn about using improvisational humor and creative idea generation to foster creative approaches to problem solving and strategic planning; you will explore your personal strengths; and, you will discover how you can be a leader no matter what your library position. Evenings will be a time to relax with new friends, network with colleagues, and enjoy the amenities of the beautiful Sugar Lake Lodge near Grand Rapids, Minnesota.
You will be paired with a mentor from Minnesota’s professional library community who will meet with you periodically over the next year and a half. This person will help you move toward meeting your professional goals, participate in MLA committees, programs, or initiatives, and foster professional relationships with other librarians across the state.
Additionally, as a participant in MILE 2015, you will have a chance to put your leadership skills to work as you and your colleagues plan MILE 2017.
$250 - shared room
