Michael K. Dakota is a photographer.
A native of Ohio, Michael graduated from Kent State University with a degree in photo illustration in 1989.
He was a print photographer for three decades working as a photojournalist in Kansas, Louisiana, Ohio, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania.
In April 2021, Michael received two Emmy nominations for his part in a collaborative cultural documentary "400 years: The Vestiges of Slavery in Cleveland." He was also nominated in 2018 for an Emmy for contributing to a story about the mural art scene in Cleveland.
During his free time, he loves to kayak, explore, and visit lighthouses.
