Pineapple-Jalapeno Wine Spritzer

A refreshing wine cocktail flavored with sweet heat of pineapple and jalapeno pepper.


  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 - 2 fresh jalapeno peppers, sliced
  • 750 ml CK Mondavi Sauvignon Blanc wine
  • 46 oz. 100% pineapple juice
  • 12 oz. lemon-lime soda
  • 5 - 6 chunks fresh pineapple (optional)
  • ice


  1. In small saucepan, combine the sugar, water and sliced jalapeno. Cook over med heat , stirring occasionally, until sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool for 10 minutes. Strain out the jalapeno peppers, (reserve a few for garnish later, if desired). Allow mixture to cool completely.
  2. To make cocktail: To a two-quart pitcher, add a couple of cups of ice. Add entire bottle of wine, pineapple juice, and soda. Stir to combine.
  3. Add a 1/4 cup to a 1/2 cup (depending on desired amount of heat) to pitcher. Stir. Add in pineapple chunks and reserved jalapeno slices, if desired. Serve immediately.
