Baked Chocolate Mini Donuts

1-1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

2/3 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup buttermilk

2 tablespoons butter, melted


1 cup Confectioner's sugar

3 tablespoons hot water


Stir together the flour, cocoa,baking powder and salt.

In a seperate mixing bowl, mix together the eggs, sugar and vanilla. Mix until thick.

Mix the milk and butter together.

Add the milk and butter mix to the eggs, sugar and vanilla mix.

Alternate the flour mixture and the wet mixture until completely smooth.

Spray the donut tin with cooking oil.

Put the donut batter into a piping bag or a zip lock plastic bag. If using a plastic bag snip the end off.

Pipe the batter into the tins, filling 2/3 full.

Bake 8 minutes at 325 degrees.

Remove from the oven and cool on a rack.

Mix the confectioners sugar with the hot water until completely smooth.

After the donuts are completely cooled then glaze.


Sprinkle Sugar Crystals on top of the glaze.
