Past Class Reunions:
Members of the Notre Dame High School Class of 1962 held their 50th class reunion in Brookings on June 8-10, 2012. Friday evening classmates gathered at the home of Pat (Sebastian) and Bob Fishback for socializing and dinner. Jim Peppmuller was the donor for this event. Socializing took place in the house and in the Fishback back yard under a tent. For each classmate Kay Rozum Susnar provided an elegant, seventy five page Reunion Booklet containing biographies of classmates, and historical information about Notre Dame.
During the day on Saturday Gene Moneke coordinated golf for those interested. Tom and Diane Agnitsch organized a trip to Shade Winery in nearby Volga.
Saturday night’s Social Hour and Dinner took place at the Old City Hall/Old Fire Hall in Downtown Brookings. Kay Rozum Susnar and Gene Moneke , Homecoming Royalty for 1962 , served as Emcees. In a setting which featured memorabilia from Notre Dame, displays consisting of photographs of events in classmate’s lives, and some inventory from the Mitchell Foundation for Catholic Education, stories were exchanged and acquaintances renewed. Classmates were delighted to enjoy the presence of Father Jerome Holtzman, teacher of German and French to many of those in attendance, on Friday and Saturday nights.
On Sunday those available for a brunch met at the Children’s Museum Café Couteau. Members of the Class of 1962 Reunion Committee: Tom Agnitsch, Mary Rowe Harris, Doug Langenfeld, Gene Moneke, Kay Rozum Susnar and Pat Sebastian Fishback .
