Mital M. Gandhi


 

 

 

Mital has been active in Republican politics since he volunteered for Christie Whitman's first successful Gubernatorial bid in 1993.  Mital joined the Advisory Council of the Washington, DC Republican Party in 2006 and has served as an elected representative of the Advisory Neighborhood Commission in Washington, DC, elected first in 2004 and twice thereafter in 2006 and 2008.  In addition he served on the DC Alcoholic Beverage Control Board for four years being nominated by Mayor Adrian Fenty and confirmed by the DC City Council.  He was also nominated by Mayor Anthony Williams to serve on the Mayor’s Commission on Asian and Pacific Islanders.

 

Mital is formerly the Chief Executive Officer of the US-India Business Alliance, based in Washington, DC and New Delhi, India.  In the corporate world, Mital has managed national sales for Clear Channel Entertainment / Live Nation, responsible for managing  and served in various roles in non-profit fundraising at American University.  Currently, Mital is the founding partner of PeopleReach, LLC, a real estate development company with holdings in Washington, DC and New Jersey.

 

Mital received his Bachelors in Political Science from American University and has completed graduate work at George Washington University's Center for Excellence in Public Leadership.  He has been named by Rising Tide, a National Republican Committee publication, as an individual who is “40 under 40” – The DC representative as 40 of the most prominent, rising individuals in the Republican political field in the US.  In addition, he has served as an election monitor in Ukraine's problematic yet revolutionary election for Prime Minister in December of 2004 and has visited more then 30 countries.  In his spare time, he is an active volunteer for organ transplant issues in the US, having been personally effected by kidney disease.
