Smartboard Project Solids, Liquids, Gases

I did my smart board lesson in Science and it was about solids, liquids, and gases. I explained that everything that takes up space also, has weight. I said that matter has three different stages. The three stages are solids, liquids, and gases. I spoke about the meaning of each and gave an example of each of the different states of matter. After, that I spoke about what types of matter that we might find in our own classroom. We also made a KWL chart about solids, liquids, gases. Finally, we categorized the objects into their correct group. The students and myself really enjoyed doing this. It was a great lesson and was able to expand and build their knowledge about the three states of matter. It also, helped prepare them for their Science test on solids, liquids, and gases. it was a great review for my students' to have before they took their test. It also, helped improve their Science test. The use of technology is a great resource to use and have especially with the smart board and the idea of it being interactive and having the children go up to the board and write on it with their finger, or with the pen is great. My students' look forward to the smart board every week.
