All electronic devices will be turned off BEFORE entering the classroom.  If you need to have access to your cell phone for work, or another emergency purpose, you must set the device to silent or vibrate AND notify the instructor prior to the start of class.  If a student is observed misusing an electronic device in the classroom, the student will be will be given an unexcused absence for that class period. Absences from electronic device misuse will count towards the attendance allotment as well as points subtracted from a student’s professionalism grade.
