Wednesday 5/13/09 - Julius Caesar test today.  Students must also get a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird and read chapters 1 & 2 for tomorrow.  We will have a 10-point quiz at the beginning of each class.  Be on time, or you will receive a zero.

Tuesday 5/12/09 - We finished watching Julius Caesar.  We discussed the directions for the Caesar Paper.  Click here for some extra notes. We met in groups to begin your Caesar Paper for the class standard.  We reviewed for the test tomorrow for the rest of class.

Monday 5/11/09 - Hand in questions p. 880 #3-8. We finished reading from Julius Caesar. Tomorrow we will review the play and meet in groups to begin your Caesar Paper for the class standard.  Click here for your directions and here for some extra notes.

Friday 5/8/09 - Hand in Sentence Set 10 and questions p. 860 #1-5. We continued reading from Julius Caesar Act IV p. 845 through Act V p. 873. On Monday turn in questions p. 880 #3-8. Start thinking about your Caesar Standard.  Click here for your directions and here for some extra notes.

Thursday 5/7/09 - Parent-Teacher Conferences are tonight. Hand in your signed midterm grades today.  We continued to present your Literary Terms Projects today. Reading Parts for Julius Caesar were assigned for the day, and we read pages 845-859.  Start thinking about your Caesar Paper.  Tomorrow hand in Sentence Set 10 and questions p. 860 #1-5

Wednesday 5/6/09 - Hand in Sentence Set 9 and questions p. 843 #1-7We continued to present your Literary Terms Projects today. Reading Parts for Julius Caesar were assigned for the day, and we read pages 830-842.  Remember to get your midterm grades signed by tomorrow.  Start thinking about your Caesar Paper.

Tuesday 5/5/09 - Nothing is due today.  We continued to present your Literary Terms Projects today.  Reading Parts for Julius Caesar were assigned for the day, and we read pages 820-830.  Please finish reading ACT III at home and answer questions p. 843 #1-7. 

Monday 5/4/09 - Hand in the Shakespeare Scavenger Hunt, Sentence Set 8 and questions p. 818 #2-8.  We began to present your Literary Terms Projects today.  Reading Parts for Julius Caesar will be assigned for the day, and we will finish Act II, pages 810-817.  

Friday 5/1/09 - Hand in Sentence Set 7.  Reading Parts for Julius Caesar will be assigned for the day, and we will begin Act II, pages 798-810.   On Monday turn in the Shakespeare Scavenger Hunt, Sentence Set 8 and questions p. 818 #2-8.  You will also present your Literary Terms Projects starting on Monday.

Thursday 4/30/09 - Hand in questions p. 796 #2-7.  Reading Parts for Julius Caesar will be assigned for the day, and we will read the rest of Act I, pages 773-795.   For tomorrow read ahead and hand in Sentence Set 7.  On Monday the Shakespeare Scavenger Hunt and Sentence Set 8 are due.  Reading Parts for Julius Caesar will be assigned for the day, and we will read pages 773-789.   Tomorrow turn in questions p. 796 #2-7.

Wednesday 4/29/09 - Hand in Sentence Set 6 and the letter to your family.  Pick up Sentence Set 7, The Shakespeare Scavenger Hunt and a short article about growing your intelligence.  We will go over Sentence Set 5 and read a bit about Shakespeare p. 760-772.  Reading Parts for Julius Caesarr will be assigned for the day, and we will read pages 773-789.   Tomorrow turn in questions p. 796 #2-7.

Tuesday 4/28/09 - The Antigone test is today.  The Literary Terms Project (poster and paper) are due today with a www.turnitin.com originality report.  Complete Sentence Set 6 and a letter to your family for tomorrow.  Begin reading William Shakespeare & Julius Caesar
p 760-789 so you have an idea about what's going on tomorrow.

Monday 4/27/09 - Sentence Set 5 and Antigone questions p. 741 (2-8)  are due today.  Finish your Literary Terms Project and make sure you submit your paper to www.turnitin.com today.  The poster and paper are due in class tomorrow.  Complete Sentence Set 6 for Wednesday. Your Antigone test is tomorrow.  A letter to your family is due on Wednesday.

Friday 4/24/09 - Sentence Set 4 and Antigone questions p. 727 (2-8)  are due today.  Start working on your Literary Terms Project.  It is due next Tuesday.  Please finish reading Antigone, and answer questions p. 741 (2-8) and complete Sentence Set 5 for homework.  Turn these in on Monday.

Thursday 4/23/09 - Antigone questions p. 722 (1-8)  are due today.  Start working on your Literary Terms Project.  It is due next Tuesday.  Remember that you need to write a letter to someone in your family for next Wednesday.  Please read Antigone pages 723-726 and answer questions p. 727 (2-8) for homework.  Turn these in tomorrow with Sentence Set 4.

Wednesday 4/22/09 - Sentence Set 3 and Antigone questions p. 714 (1-5)  are due today.  Start working on your Literary Terms Project.  It is due next Tuesday.  Please read Antigone pages 716-721 and answer questions p. 722 (1-8) for homework.  Turn these in tomorrow.

Tuesday 4/21/09 - Antigone questions p. 706 (1-7)  are due today.  Start working on your Literary Terms Project.  Please read Antigone pages 700-705 and answer questions p. 706 (1-5) for homework.  Turn in these and Sentence Set 3 tomorrow.

Monday 4/20/09 - Sentence Set 2 and Antigone questions p. 699 (2-6, 8 & 9) are due today.  Start thinking about your Literary Terms Project and hand in your top three choices today.  We looked at Greek Drama pages 685-689 and read Antigone pages 690-698 in class.  Please read Antigone pages 700-705 and answer questions p. 706 (1-7).

Friday 4/17/09 - Sentence Set 1 is due today.  We finished watching the 12 Angry Men 1957 movie.  We took the test for the screenplay.  We began reading the material for Antigone in out textbooks: Elements of Literature.  We looked at Greek Drama pages 685-689.  Read Antigone pages 690-698 over the weekend.  Questions p 699 are due on Monday.  Sentence Set 2 is due on Monday.  Start thinking about your Literary Terms Project.

Thursday 4/16/09 - We continued watching the 12 Angry Men 1957 movie.  Make sure you know a little about each of the jurors. Questions 1-11 on p 341 are due today.  Review the plot, jurors and handouts for your test tomorrow.

Wednesday 4/15/09 - 12 Angry Men, Act II, pages 332-330  of Prentice Hall Literature Platinum.  Please complete questions 1-11 on p 341, which are due tomorrow.  We continued watching the 1957 movie.  Make sure you know a little about each of the jurors.
