Thursday 5/28/2009: Your "Jabberwocky" assignment is due.  For tomorrow, please find and print the lyrics to a song as well as answer the following questions: 

1. Who wrote your song?
2. When was it written?
3. What is it about?
4. What do you like about it?
5. Why did you pick it?

Wednesday 5/20/2009: Your concrete poem is due today.  Continue writing your One-Act Play Click here for full assignment details. For tomorrow, you must bring your THING. You also write a poem about the object or a poem as told by the object – from the object’s point of view.

Monday 4/13/2009: I introduced myself to the class and handed out the parent letter and course expectations.  Parents must sign the forms, which are due Friday 4/17/09.  We looked over a hand out on Point of View to prepare students for the following assignment: The Narrative. Tell a very short, dynamic story in first person (write about two to three full double-spaced pages and not more than 1000 words).  Make sure you proofread your assignment.  This assignment should be typed and double-spaced with 12-point font and one inch margins.  Click here f you need ideas for this story.
