Course Description: 

MB-103 Introduces the the basic knowledge and skills needed to effectively utilize information systems and technology in support of organizational strategy. Topics include an introduction to information systems in organizations; strategy and information systems, data management; information networks; the Internet and social media; enterprise resource planning and business applications; e-business; knowledge management; developing and implementing information systems; security and information systems auditing; information ethics and privacy; and practical skills using word processing and spreadsheet software.concepts 

Goals: 

At the end of this course students can describe the role of Information Technology and Information Systems in business. Will understand current issues of Information Technology and relate those issues to the firm. Have a working knowledge of concepts and terminology related to information technology. Analyze how IT impacts a firm. Interpret how to use IT to solve business problems and Illustrate the impact of information systems in society
