We welcome back Jason in his third season coaching for us. Jason grew up swimming at Minnechaug, joining the team as a 7-year-old. He swam for Glastonbury High School all four years he was there. He was also a member of Susquehanna University’s Men’s Swimming and Diving team. Jason began his coaching career at Pinebrook Swim and Tennis Club, and currently is an assistant coach with Glastonbury Swim Team. He will attend Purdue University in the fall to pursue his doctorate in Educational Psychology. We are excited to welcome him back to his home swim club!

What does "Declare your Swimmer" mean?
Parents should declare yes or no for meet attendance (vs not completing the form if they are a no). If your child is not swimming, we still ask you to use the form and tell us by saying no. It helps plan for 100 makos swimmers and multiple events.
Swimmers must compete in at least 3 dual meets to qualify for Championships. Swimmers with sports memberships must compete in at least 4 dual meets to qualify for Championships.
Saturday Meets arrive 8am (Meet Start 9am).
Wednesday meets arrive 4pm (Meet Start 5pm).
Please declare your swimmer as a yes or no by the deadlines.
It is expected that families will work during the meets, these events depend on the support of our parents to be successful. Not fulfilling this meet work commitment will result in a $100 charge being added to your account per meet you do not volunteer at. Families must volunteer to help at at least two meets in the season for their swimmer to be able to participate in Championships!
No child under the age of 12 shall be permitted on the club premises unless accompanied by a parent or a responsible person designated by the parent that is at least 15 years old.
Suit: Swimmers should have a good fitting suit for practice that isn't baggy. Boys should avoid swim trunks and invest in swim jammers. New for 2026 we will begin to transition to an all-black swimsuit for meets. Your swimmer can wear any brand or style competitive suit that feels comfortable for them. For examples, see here. Purchase at your preferred retailer.
Caps: Minnechaug cap included in this year's registration. Additional caps can be purchased for $10. They will be available at the pool during the season.
Goggles: Competitive swim goggles are strongly encouraged. Please reach out to a coach if you have any questions about which goggles are best for your swimmer.
