Mingyuan ZHOU, a.k.a. Yin ZHOU, received the B.Sc. degree in Acoustics in 2005 with the highest honor from Nanjing University, which is ranked in the top five of China. He studied in the Department of Electronic Science & Engineering during 2001-2004, and spent his senior year in the State Key Laboratory of Modern Acoustics and the Institute of Acoustics at Nanjing University under the guidance of Prof. Xiaojun Qiu. During the 2005-2006 academic year, he was at the Graduate University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Since 2006, he has been with the Communication Acoustics Laboratory, Institute of Acoustics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, under the guidance of Prof. Xiaodong Li, where he is expected to receive the M.Eng. degree in Signal & Information Processing.
Mr. Zhou is a Student Member of IEEE. He began his research in audio signal processing in the State Key Laboratory of Modern Acoustics at Nanjing University in 2005, and since then, he have been doing researches on adaptive filter algorithms, spectral estimation, acoustic echo cancellation and suppression, speech enhancement, and microphone array signal processing and beamforming. Based on these researches, he had authored some papers published in international and national refereed journals and conferences. He received the Best Paper Award in the 2005 Chinese Young Researches' Conference on Acoustics (CYCA'05). He had also participated in the cooperations between the institute and some research companies and provided them consultations and algorithms.
Mr. Zhou has rich experiences in adaptive signal processing, acoustics, and audio & speech processing, and he is now planning to pursue a PhD degree in signal processing with applications to various kinds of real-world problems.
