From time to time we will employ certain phrases that reflect Buddhist influences on our course of study. For example, you will often hear the term Dharma, a Sanskrit word which, loosely translated, means “the teachings of Buddha”. And it is these teachings of Buddha (involving principles such as non-attachment and right mindfulness) that we draw upon to develop our discussion topics from week to week. So a dharma talk is a discussion based upon our reading and interpretation of Buddhist teachings.
