Language-arts Class!
Thursdays - On Zoom
Children 4th - 6th grade
This class will be a full year class with reading classic literature, learning about different literature terms, essay writing, and discussions of the books time line and background. Students will start critiquing other students essays. There will be weekly readings, keywords, and essay writing homework throughout the year.
Class Objectives:
Students will be able to conduct informative discussions on the classic books using terms learned in class that will spark creative-critical thinking.
Students will be able to write essays learning the general essay format and expanding with terms used and learned.
Students will learn different writing and literature terminology.

Art History & Appreciation
Thursdays - On Zoom
Children 4th - 6th grade
This class will be a full year class working through a course outline of the arts, and learning how to critique art and making their own creations. The class will include history, learning the different art elements, history, and creating their own art work throughout the year. Learning about our creative selves and the world around us. Critique different pieces of art work. Short papers and weekly discussions on history, creating art, and critiquing will be the most valuable part of the class.
Class Objectives:
Students will gain an understanding of art terminology
Students will learn new art techniques from the famous artists in our history.
Students will be able to conduct informative discussions on different artists using terminology learned in class.
Learn to evaluate their own photographs and critique others photographs
Students will learn creative terminology to critique art works to improve their own art style.
