Like most parents, I take a lot of photos of my kids. During my treatment, I have spent a lot of time in "my" chair in the living room. Even when I'm not feeling well, it lets me be a part of what's going on in the house. From my chair, I also have a perfect view of my digital picture frame. Those photos are a constant reminder of why all of the sucky-ness of cancer treatment is worth it.
I have tried to maintain some normalcy for the kids through all of this. I have managed to keep up with birthdays and holidays, for the most part. The kids have learned to be more independent, and some of our family activities, like sledding and hiking, have been replaced with things like coloring, reading, and cuddling.
