Memorial gig for Rob

On 16th Jan, 2013 we lost Rob Knowles, one of our dearest friends, to the dreaded cancer that he had bravely fought for the last nine months or so.

Words cannot change what has happened, but at a time like this, when we are all experiencing similar emotions and trying to come to terms with what happened so swiftly, they are important!

Rob was a kind, decent, caring and genuine family man and it was always a pleasure to be in his company. His love of music, particularly the blues, was a really important part of his life and for more than a decade, much of his time was spent on bringing live music to Millers Rock and Blues Club in Kirkby-in-Ashfield or listening to music, in his caravan in Birchover. Although he took pride in bringing internationally renowned musicians to Millers, his real passion was looking out for up and coming talent and giving them a chance to play in front of a live audience. His enthusiasm and commitment to this cause was simply infectious!

We will miss you dearly Rob and your love of blues music will remain in our hearts forever.
