James Franciscus stars as "LONGSTREET,"
in the new ABC Television
Netwrork series premiering on Thursday, Sept. 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m., EDT).

Mike Longstreet, a criminal insurance investigator,
has been blinded by an explosion, but with hard work and determination he has been able to re-establish his professional reputation. Pax, his dog guide, is Longstreet's major helpmate.


In "The Shape of Nightmares,"
Mike enters a state prison to investigate the death of a prisoner.


Martine Beswick as Nikki Bell and James Franciscus as Mike in the Longstreet pilot. Nikki would be played by Marlyn Mason in the remainder of the series.

In this photo from the pilot movie, Mike and Pax are in training with psychologist Dan Stockton. Stockton runs the Oakhurst facility where Mike re-learns how to do just about everything after he is blinded by the bomb.
