Bill Whatcott Bio: Better than Fiction

posted May 16, 2015, 2:09 AM by Michael S. Heath   [ updated May 16, 2015, 2:09 AM ]

Born in a Graveyard
I recently read the Kindle Edition of Bill Whatcott's autobiography.  It arrested my attention better than most fiction -- and I love a good novel.

Bill's crisp writing style, brutal sincerity and religious odyssey are gripping.  His narrative hugged my soul and kept me turning the pages.

His story is not for the morally moribund.  His life experience is charged with challenge, and courage.  As he blazes into his sunset years he maintains the same fearless tone and style to which he was called as an abandoned child in trouble with the law.

Check out his website.  He keeps the public updated on his latest adventures using this site.  Click on the image to get your own copy from Amazon.

MR Banquet

posted Mar 9, 2015, 5:00 PM by Michael S. Heath

MassResistance Banquet set for March 22! An event you won't want to miss.

Due to popular demand, our MassResistance Banquet is coming! It will be on Sunday afternoon, March 22, 2015 in Reading, MA.

This year is a time of crisis for people and their families who have normal religious and social values. The forces against us have never been more hostile and oppressive. People who choose not to accept the radical sexual and political agendas being forced on us are being put at ever greater risk by the courts, the government, the workplace and school administrators. Yet so many of us seem to be frozen in confusion and fear. But if people don't do something now, there may not be another chance.

Brian Camenker, President of MassResistance, will be the banquet speaker. He will talk about how to train ordinary people to successfully take on this fight. There is so much that our side never properly learns. We need to study the lessons from successful conservative confrontations with the Left, and the techniques that the Left has used to beat us.

But it's not just about tactics and strategy. It's first and foremost about a state of mind. Whether in the schools or the marriage fight, the pro-family movement has failed terribly. We need to change that right now.

As at our other banquets, you will have a chance to meet and share experiences with other activists and supporters. And you will find out exactly what you can do.

We'll be meeting at a very nice restaurant and you will get a great meal. This will be a wonderful afternoon!

The cost is only $30 per person (not $100-$150 as at other pro-family banquets). But space is limited to 30 people -- so you need to reserve your seat quickly. Don't wait!

     Event: MassResistance Banquet
     Date: Sunday, March 22, 2015
Time: 12:30 pm - Lunch served 1:00 pm
Where: Reading, MA (We'll send you the restaurant address & directions)
     Cost: $30.00 per person

How to reserve your seat:
Mail a check to: MassResistance, PO Box 1612, Waltham, MA 02454
Via credit card: Call our office during the day at: 781-890-6001

The Calamity of Elliot Rodger & Mike Michaud

posted Jun 21, 2014, 4:48 AM by Michael S. Heath   [ updated Jun 21, 2014, 7:02 AM ]

Elliot Rodger
No ray of sunshine, no warm ocean breeze rustling through the palm leaves can bring cheer to Isla Vista. A cloud of sorrow covers the picturesque college town and seeps though every fastened gate, through every locked and bolted door, and pierces every bewildered heart.
Nothing is more precious than the life of a young woman who eagerly awaits the joys of life. And no hurt exceeds the pain of a father or mother who sees a cap and gown replaced by a funeral shroud.
America should weep bitter tears over this. America must. Like the Prodigal Son who abandoned his father’s ample table to feed on the husks of swine, America has exchanged traditional views on marriage and the family for an unworkable code of sexual liberation. Under this dubious code, each man and woman becomes a law unto himself.  If anyone doubts this, let him contemplate the words of the perpetrator. In his final message to society, Elliot Rodger declared himself to be beyond the commands and prohibitions of any law, human or divine.
Elliot Rodger’s understanding of human existence and sexual morality was gleaned at random from pop culture, lurid movies, and violent video games. Far from regarding women as a helpmate, life-long companion, and future mother of his children – which is the Christian view of marriage -- Rodger saw women as a potential sexual conquest, a sort of prey.
In my thirty-year battle for the family and marriage, insofar as God gave me the strength and wisdom to do so, I warned of the extreme danger which results from a wrong understanding of human sexuality. My warnings were rejected, both by society at large and by the pro-family movement, as alarmist, intolerant, and divisive.
I directed my most zealous warnings against what society calls – in the most perverse fashion imaginable – “gay marriage” and “equality in marriage.” I warned repeatedly that the acceptance of homosexual marriage is little more than a form of collective madness; and that by equating the sterility and harm of homosexual perversion with the fruitfulness and sanctity of marriage, society was dancing on the brink of an abyss. In no sense did I view the legalization of perversion as progress.
And yet, society outraced my dire warnings. Not content with declaring the abnormal normal, pundits declared the abnormal desirable. Learned men and women proclaimed the sham of gay marriage to be as good as, or better than, real marriage. Scholars and academicians claimed that two mothers could be better than one; and that two mustached and bearded men were a model for domesticity for a young, growing girl.
The final act in this farce, or tragedy if you will, is to put a homosexual or lesbian in a position of ultimate authority over a community.
Mike Michaud
A governor does more than promulgate and enforce the laws of the community.  A governor is an exemplar or model for the preferred conduct of his citizens. His personal life is a rule or standard which society must emulate, not merely to survive, but to thrive and prosper. But no community can thrive and prosper by encouraging acts which are inimical to life. And foremost among the acts which are inimical to the life and continued existence of a community are homosexuality and abortion. To accept homosexuality and abortion as preferred modes of conduct necessarily renders a community sterile, void, and desolate.
The pro-family movement calls marriage the basic building block of society. I prefer to call it the root and flower of our continued existence. A wrong view of human sexuality poisons society at its very root.
Society may enact whichever laws it chooses; it may elect whomever it will, but the laws of nature and the laws of God remain perfect, eternal, and unchanging.  For society to willfully violate these laws is to invite chaos and sterility, and to make war on the beauty of life. And that is not progressive. That is a calamity.

LaBarbera Decides to Leave Canada

posted Apr 17, 2014, 2:44 AM by Michael S. Heath   [ updated Apr 17, 2014, 2:46 AM ]

Peter arrest in Canada
Still facing charges in Canada Peter LaBarbera volunteered to leave the nation a couple days ago.  He is home safely with his family for Easter.

While his experience is getting a bit of attention (I noticed an online image of him on Fox News) it is not likely to spark outrage.  The great deluder Satan has even Christians believing that anything sexual is simply personal and private.  The connection between society and sex is now despicably perverted in the West.

Porn is legal.  Political and religious speech against baby murder and sodomy is illegal.

The major challenge facing our society is not political.  It is moral.

Jesus Christ -- repentance from our sins -- is the answer.

Happy Easter.

Peter is in Jail

Peter and Bill arrested
As I write this Peter LaBarbera is sitting in a Canadian jail.  My guess is he faces deportation from Canada later today.

His crime?

He accepted an invitation from a Canadian citizen to visit Canada to speak about the links between abortion and sodomy.  These acts are the vanguard of the Left's attempt to create what Pope John Paul II called a culture of death.

The evidence is everywhere that they are succeeding.

Bill Whatcott and Peter LaBarbera
Yesterday I wrote about my friend Peter LaBarbera.  He was detained by the Canadian government at the border late this week for targeting "homosexuals" for hate using his website.

The sodomites and their supporters decided to respond with "love" on Friday.  Using homemade signs they stood outside the pro life conference and demonstrated.

Christians used to know that anal sex doesn't have anything to do with love.  The act, in fact, is hateful.

It's easy to see why sodomites and their supporters would choose "love" as their theme.  Institutional Christianity and the media have fine-tuned their capacity to ignore this ruse.  They allow this propaganda, sadly, to corner them -- even bending over backwards to apologize.  The sodomites interpret this willful ignorance on the part of Christianity as weakness.

It is weakness.  Nothing more, and nothing less.

One of the sodomites is holding a sign "Free Hugs."  I say, "No thanks."

Another person's sign reads "Be Nice."

Well, it isn't nice to use government schools to teach the peers of my grandchildren that Jesus Christ was wrong about marriage and family formation.  A friend told me yesterday that his first grade grandson proudly proclaimed, "Grampy, you know it is good for two men to love one another."  The grandson confessed that he was taught this in the government run school in Portland, Maine that he attends.

Love has nothing to do with creating a pathway into sodomy for any 8 year old boy.  It takes an insane death-loving ideology rooted in ignorance to go there.

And Maine is there in spades.

It baffles me that they are succeeding.

Detained at the Canadian Border for being a Christian

Peter LaBarbera
My very good friend Peter LaBarbera, leader of Americans for Truth about Homosexuality was detained at the Canadian border this week.  He flew to Canada to speak at a pro life conference.  He was invited by a Christian hero who ministers in Canada, Bill Whatcott.

I admire Peter.  He is quick witted, courageous and smart.  But more important in the fight against big sodomy is Peter's indefatigable sense of humor that is salted with humility and love.

Peter was forced to spend three hours with Canadian customs.  The interrogation lasted into the early morning hours and he was forced back to the airport the next day and permitted to fulfill his speaking commitment on an appeal that was heard later that day.  After the initial interrogation, prior to the appeal hearing, he was released to Bill Whatcott.

Peter was subjected to this egregious violation of his privacy because a small local group of sodomites targeted him for their special brand of hatred.

Thank God.

While this incident did not end with the muzzling of the gospel, it is nonetheless instructive.

Many people believe that big sodomy wants equal rights and an end to "discrimination."  This incident, and many like it, beg the question of whether or not this is true.  Peter has branded big sodomy's crusade "homofacism."  Most of the governments of the West have decided to make the world safe for sodomy.  Since governments in the West have the exclusive right in their societies to use deadly force this development is of deep concern to people.

It is one thing for private groups to advocate for sodomy.  It is another for the government to force their citizens to like it.

In the past ten to fifteen years Western nations succumbed to the crusading of sexual libertines.  Most Christians have decided to make their peace with this reality, and keep their heads down.

They reason that it is a sign of the end times, God will take care of it or the fight is hopeless.

The problem with this reasoning is that it isn't practical.  It also isn't biblical or historically realistic.

Sex must be forced into marriage by society.  There is no other option if a society plans on existing for many generations.  The West has decided the opposite.  Marriage must be forced into sex by society.  And Christians now accept this idea even though it is the opposite of what God requires.

When I use the word "Christian" here I mean institutional Christianity.  I personally experienced the surrender of evangelicalism over the past decade.  Evangelicalism in Maine was the last hold out within Protestantism.

Some individual Christians continue the fight.  There is not, however, any fully committed powerful institutional sovereign demanding that God's definition of marriage and family formation be codified into law by the society.

This tragic reality consigns our impressionable youth to fierce propagandizing for sodomy.  Obviously there is nothing gay about this profound societal shift.

Join with me in praying for Peter today as he gives his speech in Canada.  God will honor Peter's courage and faithfulness no matter what the devil does.  God's judgment, however, appears to be falling upon our societies.

Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen. -- Romans 1:24-25

Living in an age the rest of the state would rather leave behind?

posted Jul 22, 2013, 6:50 AM by Michael S. Heath   [ updated Jul 24, 2013, 2:44 AM ]

The Bangor Daily News sent a reporter to my press conference last Wednesday.  They also opined on the event in their lead editorial in the Sunday paper.  That is the most read edition of their daily paper.  You can read their editorial here.

ResurrectionThey close their editorial saying of me, "It seems they’re still living in an age the rest of the state would rather leave behind."

When I sent out my press advisory a few days before the press conference I wasn't sure the press would come.  I teased the advisory by putting it out on all the social networks to which I subscribe.  I reasoned that "sex would sell," and that the Governor's comment was sufficiently impolitic to give it a shelf life adequate to justify press coverage of my perspective on the matter.

I still wondered if the press would come.

They came.

They came because they need this issue to get people to buy their publications, listen to their radio stations and watch their television news.  The point is that their editorial is not honest.

They don't want the issue to go away anymore than the "pro-family" groups want it to go away.  It is a money maker.

I do want the issue to go away.  I never wanted to address it.  The fight came to me.  While most Christian leaders in my experience have wanted to play this game of pretending the issue is icky, difficult and confusing I was never real comfortable with this approach.

That is why I am now using the idea of sodomy in the debate.  Christians never should have stopped discussing it.  They played right into the hands of the Left.

The Bangor Daily News claims that I am living in an age Maine would like to leave behind.  They know this isn't true even as they tap out the words on their keyboard.

I take comfort from two things.  The evidence of the collapse of decency, peace and order in our society is becoming unavoidable.

And every time this issue is voted, or the court issues an opinion, there is intense controversy and the vote is very close.

Thrive comments
Handwritten notes about our ministry in Guatemala

We recently spent ten days in Central America.  I am so proud of my wife!

Paulie is a strong Christian woman.  She was able to share that inspiring faith and love for Jesus with sixty missionaries at a Thrive conference.  I was there to run the audio visual side of the retreat.

I want to invite you to celebrate God's ministry through us by passing along some of the remarks from the sheet picture above.

First from the leader of Thrive, Lorrie Lingren:

Paulie -- Many women expressed their appreciation for your genuine and humble leadership.  I love the way God gave you songs through your personal journey with Him.  You have given us songs for our worship expression as well!

One of the attendees named Sue wrote:

Paulie, my friend and sister, my prayer is you continue to share your gifts to His glory and praise.  Your spirit of peace and joy was and is a pleasing aroma to God and to those around you.  Blessings!

Amanda said:

Everyone of my small group members asked how to get a copy of your CDs!  Worship was so powerful and so beautiful!  Thank you for blessing us with your beautiful voice.

Shelly, the conference speaker observed:

Paulie dear I loved our first day praying together -- Thank you for letting me and others see your heart!  Your talent and giftedness combined with your beauty could be overwhelming -- but your open heart and warmth make you a wonderful dynamic woman!  Love counting you as a friend!  With loving admiration, Shelly.

Pray for Power Road Trip

Be sure to scroll to the bottom for updates.  We are thankful for all the wonderful Christian people who made this trip possible!

Our 2003 Honda van after reentry ;-)  The tiles are scorched.

God is calling Paulie and me to continue our partnership with the evangelical outreach Thrive.  They will gather one hundred Christian missionary women together in the midwest in early July for their annual furlough retreat.  We just returned from Guatemala where Paulie led worship and I provided audio visual support.  The Guatemala retreat was one of their four annual international retreats designed to support American missionary families serving overseas.

In addition to sensing God's call to continue helping Thrive God is returning us to our roots.  We have invested the largest portion of our lives in encouraging Christian citizenship.  Applying our faith to the call to serve at the Christian Civic League of Maine for two decades gave us hearts for American citizenship and politics.

Pray for Power Road Trip

One cannot be a good Christian citizen without making the Bible the rule for living, voting and deciding.  Accordingly, God has invited Paulie and I to listen to the Bible as we drive our 2003 Odyssey Van that has 180,000 miles on it to Denver, Colorado and back.  Additionally He is calling us to pray earnestly for the political and spiritual powers in the states through which we will pass.

Above is a map of developing route.  We want to partner with you to make connections and pray during the trip.  Please take a minute to study the  route on the map.  Click on the icons for more information about each aspect of the journey, including dates and times when we anticipate being in a particular place.  If you have friends, family or a church/ministry who we could pray for/with, overnight with or minister to in some way please send us an email or give us a call.

Modern times offer increasingly difficult challenges to Christians.  Action must be accompanied by earnest prayer.  Everyone needs a Helping Hand, and Christians have a duty to reach out with love and truth.

We can only undertake this Road Trip with you as our partner.  We will use our online platforms to keep you updated on a daily basis.  Here are the platforms in addition to this website through which you can connect with us.

Faith is the foundation of our ministry.  Two weeks ago we didn't have the funds for this pilgrimage.  God has provided nearly all the financial resources we need for this project.  We are very thankful.
