Friends for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer Concerns is a Quaker faith community within the Religious Society of Friends. We gather twice a year, at our Midwinter gathering and at the Friends General Conference Annual Gathering of Friends in the summer.
Our gatherings welcome people who have been Quaker for decades and folks for whom FLGBTQC is their first contact with Friends; people of all sexual orientations and gender identities; people who are clear about their sexual and gender identities and many who are questioning and evolving or find that language is insufficient to their experience.
This year, we will be holding our Midwinter Gathering in the Pocono Mountains of northeast Pennsylvania over President's Day weekend, February 15-18, 2013, exploring inclusion, access, power, and privilege as part of our theme, "A Place at the Table."
We are looking forward to opportunities for worship, play, connection, community, fun, food, learning, and growth at this year's Midwinter, and hope that if you are unable to join us, you will consider coming in the future!
Thanks to everyone who attended or otherwise contributed to the weekend!
