back to back city titles and then moved over to White Middle school.

Continuing on with coaching, Steve accepted an assistant coaching position at Illinois Central College for four years. After a brief stint at the junior college level, Steve then went on to coach at numerous high schools which included, Peoria Notre Dame, Woodruff High School, Manual High School and now currently working at

In June of 2007 Steve was named the Head coach of the Peoria Kings. The Kings were about to enter their second season before the League folded.  “I am very excited to be apart of the Midwest Flames Of Peoria!”
Steve has spent many years helping at risk students. Whether it was helping students get a job, getting them into school to further their education or counseling, Steve was there to assist.  The passion to work with kids and to coach came at an early age.  He learned from his family and his role models that it's always good to help others even when you may not have much yourself; but your kindness will always be greatly appreciated by those you helped.  This philosophy has shaped the person he is today.
Steve is married to Angelia Turner of 11 years they have three kids Steve II (28), Jada (12) and Nyla Turner (10months).  Steve is a life long community servant of Peoria.  Steve’s family is his rock and biggest fans of which he couldn’t do it with out them.
