OCT.29,2008    SAD,SAD NEWS!!

We received this bad news from Amy on Aziza Diamaraz, below is a copy of her e-mail,please have Amy & "Tia"(Aziza Diamaraz) in your thoughts & prayers!!

 Gloria,

We were dealt a horrific blow today.  Tia had her x-rays done at the University of Wisconsin Vet School Hospital, and the results were far from what we were hoping.  Apparently at some point, Tia had developed a bone infection on her C4 vertebrae, and that lesion has since grown and caused significant damage and has caused the right sides of C4 & c5 to change and start to fuse, leaving a huge amount of calcification on the right side of her neck.  The Dr. thought it could be from an injury, but highly doubtful, most likely a secondary infection to flu or something else.  The only time Tia was sick was back around 7-8 months, when several horses became ill.  The timeline seems to fit as to the amount of boney changes / size would have developed over several months, and her growth as made it become more prominent now.  We have noticed major changes in the last two months.  It is not wobbles, however will have many of the same neurological symptoms, which now include some issues with her front legs as well as the rear.  She will never be able to be ridden, and in his guarded opinion, is that our best hope will be able that she will be able to be a broodmare since this is in no way genetic.  I have been crying since about 11 this morning as all dreams have been dashed.  There is a surgical option, though in her case is unlikely to have any effect, and she would have to go to Kentucky as only 6 surgeons in the country perform it, and it costs a min. of $10,000.  Both my primary vet and my vet/chiropractor were there with me today, and it was very hard on them as well.  My primary vet is the one who inseminated Jazz, and has been there through everything, and we are best friends so it is hard for her on many points.  We each purchased a DVD of her x-rays, and when I can get them uploaded (won't open on my mac) I will send them to you.  If it wasn't my horse, I would be amazed, instead I am in pain.  My vet is also doing some research and consulting with other vets on other options as well.  I will not allow her to live in pain, or on long-term daily doses of pain meds and anti-ulcer meds.  It is not fair to her.  I am sure she will let me know when / if she has had enough.  We will however continue to hope for the best, she has proven to be miracle before, she can do it again.

I hope I haven't totally ruined your day, but I thought you should know.

Sincerely,

Amy

    Congradulations To Bob Claymier

       &        Desert Rose Arabians

on the birth of their 6th Diadhem foal

               & its another girl!!

This little girl entered the world June 17,2008. Destined to be another Sporthorse Champion!!

                        DIADHEM x Maggie Degas

                  1/2 arab/ 1/2 Percheon Filly

 Bob Says:

Maggie finally popped last night at about 9:30PM.  All went well and it looks like we have another extremely nice filly.  She has a very pretty head for one of Maggie’s foals which is always what I look for in her off spring.  If she would have foaled first, I likely would have named her “Desert Rose” as well because she looks at first glance to be a good looking girl.  She is so tall that she initially had trouble being able to bend down and nurse and I was getting a bit concerned after 2 hours of her not being able to find the udder but she has latched on now."

"This is a picture taken today of their first turn out together.  The little filly is doing great and has an extremely nice head with a bit of a dish and teacup (maybe coffee cup – ha) nose.  That is sometimes the limiting factor with Maggie’s offspring because she is obviously a moose.  At this stage, this is the nicest head on a baby that she has ever produced."

Thru Bob's 6 Diadhem foals (2 Purebred Arabians & 4 arab crosses) He has seen the consistancey that Diadhem throws not only in beauty, presence & correctness, but also in dispostion, trainability & a great willingness to please along with a boldness that prompts these foals to be very independent of their dams right from birth with a curiosity that makes them real people horses!!

This little future Champion will be available for sale upon weaning!!Bob is an Certified Natural Horsemanship Trainer. All his foals are handled, imprinted & started in basic training for leading, bathing, clipping, farrier & manners.  If interested in this young lady please go to Bobs website!!

It is with great sadness that we announce:

On May 25,2008 We had to send our Beloved Friend:

                  TJR Bold Bonita

To her final Resting Place.  We miss her dearly.

We envision her playing in that great pasture in the sky with her dear friend of 20 some years Spices StarFire where they are young, proud & strong & as free as the wind.

Both these great horses have brought light, joy & love into our lives & their memory will always be with us.

Diadhem Proudly Presents

                                         His  1st 2008 Filly

             DRR Desert Rose  (Pending)

She is a Full Sister to The Beautiful "Dutch"

                                                                x  Hilde imported Friesian Mare

                            1/2 arab/1/2 Friesian filly

Breeder-Robert Claymier  says-

"This is probably one of the strongest foals I’ve ever had as she was up within minutes and nursing.  She is already showing me she will be a hand full .She is a beautiful filly with a very nice head and hooky ears."

"Yes – this new little gal is likely one of the best foals I have ever had and she may ultimately top Dutch for looks.  She is an incredible live wire so I’m going to really have my hands full with her – very sweet though"

"Born 26 March 2008 to our Friesian mare Hilde.  The new filly was sired by  Diadhem who we have used for several of our recent foalings.  DRR Gijs (Dutch) is a full brother to the new filly and is absolutely stunning (Go to "Dutch's"Page-DRR Gijs by just scrolling down this page & clicking on his name.)  He was a multi champion halter winner as a yearling before moving to Colorado and the new filly gives every indication that she will follow in his footsteps.  The new filly will ultimately be dual registered as a 1/2 Arabian where she is sweepstakes nominated and with the Friesian Sport Horse Society.  We have reserved the name “DRR Desert Rose” for an exceptionally nice filly"

She will be available for purchase upon weaning
