A little about MCAS: The group was organize

d by clay artists in 1987 to promote clay art in the Midlands. The purpose is to provide both the amateur and the professional clay artist an opportunity to display and sell their work. The group sponsors workshops, demonstrations, guest speakers and many other opportunities to learn more in the field of clay arts.   Members work with clay by hand building, wheel throwing, sculpting and other methods to produce functional and /or aesthetic pieces.

Anyone living in the Midlands area who is creatively working with clay is eligible for memberships. MCAS meets at 7:00 at City of Columbia Art Center, 1932 Calhoun Street, Columbia, SC the third Tuesday of each month except June, July, August, and December.
