- Turn things off: light switches, power strips, unused microwaves and other appliances with phantom loads
- Turn your computer off at night
- Air dry your laundry (and save dryer money while you're at it!)
- Wash your clothes with cold water (the "bright colors" setting on Midd machines)
- Use compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) in your desk lamps
- Close your windows to prevent as much heat loss as possible
- Take shorter showers to conserve energy needed to heat your water

Know
where your food is coming from, and be aware of the processes that it
went through to get to your plate. More local, more organic, and more
natural is good!
