I am excited that we have 3 trials coming up this fall, 2 AKC and 1 ASFA (this will be the Region 7 REGIONAL INVITATIONAL!). The CLCS and AHCOA trials that will be held in Camden, SC this fall have also been added to our website. I hope to see many old and new faces at these trials. Please contact me if you have any questions.
We will soon be looking for donations to help support the ASFA Region 7 Invitational. Please contact Eddie for details. We would like to make this regional an event to remember, please donate to help up accomplish this goal.
I have also updated some member's accomplishments, so check out that page as well. Congrats to all that our members have done with their hounds!!
I would like to start by "Thanking" everyone that helped make the May 21/22, 2011 AKC lure coursing trial/test and Coursing Ability test a success. We can not continue to put on these trials without the help of participants. We had a wonderful turn out both days!
On Saturday we ran 21 JC/QC tests followed by 78 hounds in the regular trial and finally, 15 dogs for the Coursing Ability Test. It was a long day, but all went smoothly and all but 1 dog in the CAT passed their course. Sunday was slightly smaller with only 4 QC tests, 71 dogs in the regular trial and 10 dogs for the CAT.
Thanks to all of our judges (Diana, Sara and Bob), our lure-ops. (Chuck and Eddie) and our huntmasters (Suzy, Bill, Chris, Sue, Mallory) and everyone else I am forgetting that helped!
I would like to thank Mike McNamer for taking photos on Saturday. His photos will be available to view and download at: http://mgmcnamer.smugmug.com/MAHALureCoursing2011
Results can be found on out "Event Results" page!
Hope to see everyone this fall!
