Why You Should Join Us

The Michigan Chinese Photography Club (MiCPC) started as a Facebook group. It is made up of a loosely-knit group of Chinese who, obviously, call the great state of Michigan home -- at one time or another. We chat online mostly and do not yet have any regular meetings. In August of 2010, a few founding members lead by Jimmy Xiang have organized a photography exhibit at the Millet Creek Branch of the Ann Arbor District Library. We are gearing up to exhibit at the Salem-South Lyon District Library (9800 Pontiac Trail, South Lyon, MI 48178).

We welcome talents from all walks of life to joins here, on Facebook, on Flickr, or on Google+, to share with each other experiences with the art of photography and more importantly, to have fun in enjoying each others' work.

We don't have an official demographic tally of the membership, but it is probably safe to say that most of us are working professionals, busy parents of children, who love and enjoy nature, among many things in life. Some of us may have known each other for some time, but more than likely many are strangers to each other in real life. So new faces are always welcome!

This site is created by Wei Wang, dedicated to promote the work of the MiCPC members. Come join us and have more fun!

What's the Best About Our Club?

We are informal.

Anyone would like to organize the next event? Well, drop a note to the group mailing list and let everybody know. Not a member of the mailing list yet? Don't worry, your message will reach the managers of the list and you may simply ask nicely to join. Of course, we'd appreciate it if you could tell us who you are and what your interests are.
