Kate Caccavaio received both an M.A. and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. She is a Ph.D Candidate specializing in Postcolonial and Diaspora literature specifically in a New World context. Her interests include racial theory, feminism, and family dynamics. Her dissertation focuses on hemispheric migration in literature between the Caribbean and the North American mainland.  Courses taught: IAH 207: Literature, Culture and Identity; WRA 140: Women in America; WRA 150: The Evolution of American Thought; ENG 142: Chillers and Thrillers; and ENG 204: Readings in North American Literature.
