Michael Koelle

I am a Junior Research Fellow (post-doctoral researcher) in Development Economics at Pembroke College, Oxford.

My research interests are in applied microeconomics, in particular in economic development and labour economics. I try to understand entrepreneurship in developing countries within the wider context of occupational choice and labour market institutions. More generally, I am interested in how businesses relate to the market and economic environment they are embedded in. My research is mostly empirical, guided by economic theory.
