Institutional/Economics Research
I am the director of a large (150,000+ participants, 113+ colleges) annual statewide research project, where we investigate the labor market returns of Career Technical Education programs in the California community college system--the largest higher education system in the United States.

Psychological Research
I investigate the evolved psychological mechanisms involved in combat, fertility, and romantic infidelity and jealousy. I employ self-report questionnaires, in-lab experiments, content analyses, physiological measures, and biological assays.

Research Methodology
I draw insight from market research to optimize the response rate, data quality, and psychometrics of research in psychology and in education. Specifically, I investigate embedded questions in recruitment, attention-check strategies, participant satisficing, anchoring, and question-ordering effects.
