Michael Quach, MD

Dr. Quach is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and Licensed by the California State Medical Board to practice Medicine and Psychiatry in the state of California.  

Dr. Quach is Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Stanford's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.  He has been an active member of Stanford University’s Adjunct Clinical Faculty since 2008.  Dr. Quach received the Stanford Excellence in Clinical Teaching Award in 2011.  Currently, he teaches psychiatry to Stanford Medical Students.

Dr. Quach received his medical training at Stanford University School of Medicine and completed specialty training in Psychiatry at Stanford's Department of Psychiatry.   He was selected to serve as Chief Resident during his last year of residency training.  

During his Stanford residency training, he received the most advanced and comprehensive education in psychopharmacology and various forms of psychotherapy. 

In the past 16+ years, Dr. Quach has worked in a variety of clinical settings: Private Practice, Stanford Hospital and Clinics, the VA Hospital and Clinics, Kaiser Permanente Outpatient Clinics, Community Mental Health Clinics, Mental Health Treatment Court, and University Student Health Centers. 

For over 5 years, Dr. Quach served as Medical Director, and was promoted to Chief Medical Officer, at Momentum for Mental Health, the largest nonprofit mental health agency in Santa Clara County. 

Dr. Quach also served as Santa Clara Valley Medical Center (SCVMC) Medical Director for Custody Behavioral Health Services, providing clinical leadership and administrative oversight in the development and implementation of policies and practices as well as supervision and clinical direction to all psychiatrists and other mental health professional services at the Santa Clara County Correctional Facilities.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from U.C. Davis, with a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry (with highest honors).
