About Me

You can also find more information on my academia.edu page HERE

I completed an undergraduate degree in French and Classics, with a minor in Linguistics, at St. Olaf College in 2008. I have since received Master's degrees in French Linguistics and General Linguistics at Indiana University in 2012 and 2013, respectively. My subfield is in Phonology. Specifically, I am interested in the phonetics-phonology interface, language typologies, Optimality Theory, opacity, and endangered languages.

I have taught numerous courses at Indiana University in French and Linguistics. In addition, I have also taught 3 summers with the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages at their Brest, France site. You can find more information about their program HERE.

Outside of work, I have a passion for running and travel (especially France and Scotland). I especially love taking pictures when traveling. Here are just a few:

A small cairn I made at the top of Beinn Arthur (Scotland)  A lighthouse off the coast of Brest (France)
Low tide at Saint-Malo (France) Hiking in the West Highlands (Scotland)

Above all, I love cooking. I couldn't resist including a few pictures of some of my favorite meals. Hopefully, they won't make you too hungry!
