Online paper submission
Please submit the papers electronically via the online submission system:

Paper format

Papers should be formatted using the LNCS style files and can have 8-12 pages.

Parallel Submissions

Submitted work has to be original, not identically submitted in parallel to other conferences or workshops. We accept papers that further detail on algorithms also validated in the MICCAI challenge workshops. We ask authors to reference the challenge contribution explicitly.

Review process

The review of the papers will be double-blind. Submissions should be anonymous according to the MICCAI guidelines.

Previous MICCAI submissions

If desired authors can upload the MICCAI reviews and rebuttal to be considered by the workshop chairs.

Patent disclosure policy

Attendees of the workshop and readers of the proceedings might be interested in implementing and using the presented methods. However, restrictions on their general usability apply - even for research and non-for profit applications - if patents are filed or are to be filed on those methods.

So, as a courtesy to the audience of this workshop, we ask the authors to disclose existing or pending patents on methods presented during the workshop. This information should be included in a separate section at the end of text in the final ('camera-ready') version of the manuscript, and it will be printed in the proceedings in order to help your readers to make informed decisions.

Final Version Format

  • The proceedings will be published as Lecture Notes in Computer Science in both Electronic and paper versions by Springer. Please read carefully the information for authors from Springer. You must use the LNCS templates (LaTeX2e or Word) available on the Springer website to prepare your paper.
  • The proceedings will be prepared in full-color and the maximum number of pages for your final paper is 12 (including abstract and references). Note that since Springer will enforce their formatting rules, (even if you have modified them), it is extremely important that you strictly adhere to the guidelines (i.e. remove vspaces, smaller margins). The editors reserve the right to reject papers that are over the 12 page limit in the final version.
  • Make sure that Springer standard for bibliographical references is strictly enforced. This is detailed in section 2.7 of the LNCS author guidelines. This is important for instance when citing previous LNCS proceedings such as MICCAI and MCV.
  • Download and complete the copyright form, which can be signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all authors. Scan your signed copyright form and save it as a JPG or PDF file. Copyright forms should only be provided in an electronic format.
  • Zip all your files above (including the digital copy of the signed copyright form) together and name it using your MCV paper submission ID (for example:, where 27 is your paper ID number).
  • Copyright form can be downloaded here.
