Music for Munchkins Concerts

Dr. Kerstetter teacher Pre-K through 5th grade general music for Broward County Public Schools. Formerly, Dr. Kerstetter founded the Creative Music Project,  was an Assistant Professor with Florida International University, Assistant Professor with University of Mount Olive, a Lecturer with Boston University, an instrumental music teacher with Palm Beach County Schools, and the Education Chairperson for the Ars Flores Symphony Orchestra. She also taught Music Together classes  for children (and parents) ages birth to age 5 at the Mailman Segal Center for Childhood Development Parenting Place through Nova Southeastern University. 

Dr. Kerstetter earned her Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Education from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. She has taught music to all ages and grade levels for two decades throughout south Florida, and has publications in Music Educators' JournalGeneral Music TodayJournal of Band Research, and is a contributing author for the book Pop Culture Pedagogy in the Music Classroom. As recently at 2014, the Teaching Music Magazine featured Dr. Kerstetter's original songwriting activities with elementary school children.

A nationally recognized speaker on music creativity and technology, Dr. Kerstetter has presented for organizations such as Florida Music Educators Association, the Association for Technology in Music Instruction, theSociety for Music Teacher Education, and the Australian Society for Music Education. She is a member of Pi Kappa Lambda, National Music Honor Society, and Kappa Kappa Psi, National Honorary Band Fraternity.
