In my experience, yoga and meditation have better enabled me to fully appreciate this life, separate of my ideas about how I think it should be. My feeling is that these practices have nothing to do with religion and everything to do with cultivating tendencies toward a religious sense for life through radical kindness, generosity and inclusion. After many years of spiritual practice, I am still learning each day what it means to be a beginner and to live selflessly.

My personal practice is rooted in the lineage of Ashtanga Yoga as well as the gentler approaches of Restorative and Yin Yoga. The formal training I have completed with Doug Swenson, Rolf Gates and Michael Stone impacts me every day. I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to teach with their blessing and to echo the heart of all the coaches and mentors who have impacted my own practice (Read More).

Most of the year, I live in Virginia Beach, VA with my Labrador Retriever and best friend, "Wanga Gut".
