Hazelnut Shortbread Slice

Take one food processor.

Grind 70 grams hazelnuts in it.

Then add 1/3 cup of fine caster sugar and 200 grams soft butter.

Pulse until creamed.

Add 2 cups of flour - pulse until mixed to a dough.

Press the mixture with floured fingers into a slice pan pre-lined with baking paper.

Bake in a oven heated to 190 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes or until slightly golden.

Remove from the oven and place on top:

chopped dark cooking chocolate or dark chocolate melts.

place back into oven heat for about 3 minutes until melted,

then simply smooth over with a cake icing spatula to cover the slice. 

When cold - slice and serve.
