The Power of Blue
Strength: The purpose of these courses is to prepare our student to perform at their highest level, through the development of skill, endurance, strength, power, sprint fundamentals and plyometrics, while reducing the risk of injury.  Movement fundamentals, technique, safety, agility, coordination, quickness, and flexibility will be stressed throughout the courses.  Our goal is to educate students on the benefits of exercise and enhance a healthy lifestyle.

Health: The purpose of this course is to promote a healthy lifestyle.  Student education will be based on National as well as Consortium health standards.  Units of instruction will consist of topics such as making healthy choices, personality and self-esteem, first aid/cpr, managing stress, mental disorders and suicide, eating disorders, you and your family, building healthy relationships, preventing violence, infectious diseases and more.

Physical Education: The Health and Physical Education program is regarded as a vital part of the general education and an integral part of the schools total education program. It encompasses certain developmental goals which include the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of growth and maturity.

Physical Education is a directed purposeful activity centering on the development, movement, care and use of the total body. Physical Education stresses the development of physical, social, and mental skills through organized learning experiences based on several principles of child growth and development.
