I received my PhD from University of Washington. My PhD dissertation, directed by Professor Sumit Roy, was entitled “Applications of Network Coding and Compressed Sensing in Networking.” Network coding and compressed sensing recently have gained significant attention. I received my M.Sc. degree in Signal Processing and Communications Systems from Electrical Engineering department at the University of Tehran, Tehran, Iran. My MSc thesis is on multimedia streaming over Peer-to-Peer networks.
