What is Jump Start? Jump Start is a 12 week, full time fellowship program for individuals interested in working in the adult community (public) mental health field. The fellowship is open to graduates with a B.A./B.S. or higher in any field.
Participants will be trained in the classroom and in the field where they gain first hand experience during an assigned internship. The Fellowship provides both philosophical and skills-based training for individuals looking to enter the mental health field who may not have previous experience.
Classes are Mondays and Fridays from 9 AM - 3 PM at CSU Dominguez Hills and MHA Village. Internships are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for an 8 hour day (e.g. 9 AM - 5 PM, 8 AM - 4 PM, etc).
