It is with great sorrow that we must announce that our dear friend and branch head Bracey Tiede has passed away after a brief but intense fight with an aggressive metastasized cancer. Jean-Pierre Bouchez has agreed to take her place as head of the Northern California branch of the Mediterranean Garden Society.

There will be a celebration of Bracey's life on May 26 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Master Gardener site at Martial Cottle Park in San Jose. You are welcome to share reminiscences of Bracey if you like, and we plan to have a potluck table, too (no alcohol allowed at the park, though). Martial Cottle Park is near the intersection of Blossom Hill Road and I-85 (main entrance at 5283 Snell Ave.).
