Welcome to the Meadow Glen Middle Learning Commons and to the MGM Library Program!

The school's mission state is "Learning by doing, leading by Example" and the library program's mission statement supports our school's mission.
 

The mission of the library program is to serve students of all backgrounds to live in a diverse society and to empower students and teachers to be critical thinkers, effective and ethical users of information and technology, and to inspire them to be life-long learners and readers.





Saddle Up and Read: Wild West Scholastic Book Fair

Our Scholastic Book Fair will be from October 9th - 17th in the Learning Commons from 7:35-3:45 on school days.  We will also have the fair open during Student Led Conferences from 3:30-6:30 on Thursday, October 12th and from 7:35-12:00 PM on Friday, October 13th. You can also shop at our online fair, which is available from October 4th-18th, where all shipping is free to MGM.  This is a great opportunity to purchase gifts, shop with your child online, and have access to lots of books!  Our online fair can be found at http://www.scholastic.com/bf/meadowglenmiddleschool2






Read Your Way to the Big Game  Reading Contest

MGM is participating in the Read Your Way to the Big Game Reading Contest this year! This is a chance for your student to win tickets to the Clemson vs. USC game at the Palmetto Bowl in November.  For students to be entered into the drawing to receive four tickets and sideline passes, they need to read 6 books between September 5th to November 6th.  Reading logs are available from ELA teachers, the Learning Commons, download one from the Learning Commons Schoology Course, or see the link below. Turn your reading log into your ELA teacher or the Learning Commons by November 6th to be entered into the drawing.
