Matthew Damigos, Ph.D.

I received my BSc. degree in Applied Mathematics (major in Calculation Techniques & Software development) in 2004 from the University of Crete, Greece. In April 2011, I received my Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from National Technical University of Athens, under the supervision of Prof. Foto Afrati.

My research interests include query reformulation techniques (query optimization, rewriting queries using views, data exchange, view selection, query containment/equivalence), NoSQL databases, distributed/parallel databases, information integration systems (data warehouses and mediated systems) and data/web mining.
